ANSI/NIST-ITL is holding an XML and Mobile ID Workshop September 18th and 19th at the Holiday Inn in Gaithersburg, MD. The workshop is open to government agencies, vendors, users, consultants, and anyone else who may have a material or direct interest in AFIS technology,fingerprint data exchange, or mobile identification procedures. If you want to participate in the development of the XML version of the standard, or its use for mobile identification, this will be your best opportunity to do so. Conclusions reached at this workshop will be used to progress the XML version of the standard as well as to develop procedures for use with moble identification. At this time, additional topics and issues may be added to the agenda for discussion and action during the workshop. This may be the only chance to influence the content of the XML Part 2 and the approach to mobile identification.
